Zünd experiences a clear trend towards short-run packaging production, where the requirements are to produce stacks of materials. Digital flatbed UV printers are installed to complement traditional flexo and offset print machines to increase profitability in the smaller series. Zünd cutters equipped with automatic board feeder, stacker and vision software is a perfect method to digitally cut, crease, V-cut POP displays, boxes, etc.
Re-board, X-board, Lightboard, Dufalite board, Xanita board, Falcon board, D-board and similar honeycomb structured materials are getting popular as alternatives to corrugated boards, PVC etc. Zünd cuts all of these materials to perfection whether in 0, 15, 22.5, 30 or 45 degree angles. On a Zünd G3 cutter, it is possible to process materials with 3 different knife angles in ONE operation. | |

Foam cutting up to 50mm thicknesses is easily done with Zünd cutters. Using a powerful pneumatic oscillating tool (POT) with long stroke, makes foam cutting possible - soft and hard foams.
Zünd cutters are software neutral when it comes to packaging design and construction CAD solutions. All leading CAD software has build-in HPGL post-processors to drive the cutter directly. The most popular and best in class packaging solution on the market is IMPACT from Arden Software. Zünd's Cut-it front-end software interfaces directly with IMPACT. |
